
For the coming fifth “Gucci Campaign to Benefit UNICEF”, the Creative Director of Gucci Frida Giannini published a book named Snowman in Africa for children together with the writer Michael Roberts who is also an illustrator.

This colorful book is the ending of Snowman in Paradise published in 2004. It will be on sale at about two hundred Gucci stores all over the world at the price of $25 from November 16th to December 31st. The book-signing will be held at Gucci’s flagship shops in New York, Paris, and London. All the earnings will be donated to UNICEF.

“I think Roberts has the capability to communicate with children.” Giannini said, “I was attracted by Roberts’ collages and the unique creative style. This book will bring a lot of pleasure to children.” With the publishing of Snowman in Africa , Giannini designed a series of accessories and first greeting cards printed illustrations in that book at a price of $50 to $5000.

Among the accessories, Giannini designed two new Joy bags in middle size printed Robert’s fantastic patterns. One is with patterns of elephant and leaves, and the other is with the theme of a snowman in the jungle.
From the first time this project was opened to now, 7000 thousand dollars have been raised. In early November, Giannin will fly to Malawi to meet with stuff of UNICEF.
