Eternal classic –Chanel 2.55 handbag line (2)
To trace the origins of the Chanel 2.55 ,we have to go back over fifty years .
Square buckle :it even has a name- mademoiselle. In French , mademoiselle means miss .This conveys the idea Coco Chanel did marry.
Double chains:Coco Chanel’s childhood losed her mother and grew up in the orphanage. It sounds terrible that janitor in the orphanage locked children up with chains. She thought of the chains when designed the strap for the handbag.
3 inner bags :pouch for putting lipstick, inner bag with zippers, front compartment.
Front compartment:it is said that she fell in love when she was in orphanage. As for Coco Chanel ,front compartment was a nice place for putting love letter.
Purple interlining:purple was the colour of the children’s clothes in the orphanage
Back compartment：she put change in it.
The same as metal strap,famous lozenge grain filtered into people’s minds. As it is learn to all, lozenge grain was inspired by knight coat in the 20th century.
